This Is What Synchronized Swimming Is, (considering most people don't know). sept.10\12

This is what my synchronized swimming team did all last year and came in first all year including provicials. This was a big accomplishment for the team. I also have done many things I couldn't do it before. I can now hold my breath longer and scull alot better.

.

In my past I grew up in Meadow Lake until I was seven years old, then I moved to Melville and lived there until I was twelve then I moved to Red Deer. I have done synchronized swimming for a year in recreatin and three years competitive going on four. Last year I swam with the Yorkton Aquabatix and now this year I am swimming with the Red Deer Synchronized Swimming Club. I have been on a trip to the Dominican Republic.

In the present I am doing synchro again this year. I want to stay with

good grades.

In the future I want to go far with synchro. And maybe someday meet my favorite authors Veronica Roth and Suzanne Collins. I also want to maybe become a teacher or a vet assistant.

My Favourite Books Are Divergent and The Hunger Games. The author of Divergent is Veronica Roth and the author of The Hunger Games is Suzanne Collins. The main characters of divergent are: Tris Prior, Tobias Eaton, and Christina. The main characters of The Hunger Games are: Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, Gale Hawthorne, and Primrose Everdeen.

The Decomposer Project

Question: Where at Glendale Sciences and Technology School do the most decomposers reside? I think the most decomposers reside is the microwave.

Hypothesis: My hypothesis is that the microwave will have lots of decomposers because it has been used many times without being cleaned.

Materials:

  1. 1/2 slice white bread

  2. sandwich bag with a zip top

  3. Paper towel

Procedure

Step #1- I got a peice of bread and and paper towel.
Step #2- I wiped the peice of bread on the inside of the microwave for 20 seconds.
Step #3-I put the peice of bread in the zip top bag.
Step #4- I hung it on the wall.

Week Observation Picture
Week 1
Nothing has happened yet because I just put the germs on it so it hasn't done
anything to the bread yet.

Week 2
My observation is that the bread has just started to decompose.
It is just starting to mold (the colors are: green, brown, and blue).
It isn't molding very well because if there are and germs in the microwave
they will die because of the heat.

Week 3
My observation is that the bread has gotten a lot more mouldy and it had little cobwebs
near the top of the of the sip top bag. It had mostly green and black mould. And it started
to grow white fuzz.

Conclusion is my hypothesis is wrong because it the microwave will overheat the organisms and it didn't decompose as well as I thought.

3.1 Natural Sources of Thermal Energy

Chemical Energy

1. The definition of Chemical energy is a part of the energy in a substance that can be released by a chemical reaction.

2. An additional example of chemical energy is fire burning, vaporization or anything that involves the release or the gain of energy.

3. A bad environmental impact is: If a car uses gasoline, it produces greenhouse gases and other poluting agents through combustion of fossil fuel.

And a good environmental impact is: If you choose instead to run your car on hydrogen, you now have no impact on the environment.

4. We use it to heat our homes, gases, batteries, fire, matches, the sun and more.
